Yankees Ticker Tape parade & the Keys to the City!
Today’s ticker tape parade to honor the New York Yankees’ 2009 World Series win on Wednesday November 4th will start at 11am along the Canyon of Heroes up Broadway. The Mayor will give the New York Yankees the keys to the city in a ceremony at City Hall Plaza after the parade.
The last parade held in NYC was for the Giants’ Superbowl win in 2005; the last held for the Yankees was almost 10 years ago in 2000. The cost to hold the parade will be comparable at approximately $331,000.
