New twists at the 83rd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Performers
Jay Sean will be performing his top single, Down, atop a float in the parade today!  Sean is the first solo act of Asian origin to top the Billboard 100 charts.  His album, All or Nothing, had its American release Monday, November 23rd.

The Rockettes will be performing as they have every year since 1957.  Lookout for the Asian rockette (Note that the first Asian American Rockette was Setsuko Maruhashi who retired to teach dance after more than 14 years with the high kickers.)

New Route!
Starts at Central Park West & 77th St (as usual) and proceeds down CPW to Columbus Circle & Central Park South.  Proceeds South on 7th Avenue instead of crossing town on Broadway and ends in front of Macy’s instead of at Herald Square.

Four New Floats!
Spiderman, Pillsbury Doughboy, Ronald McDonald, and Sailor Mickey.
