The Pixies kicked off their sold out US tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album Doolittle at The Palladium in Los Angeles on Nov. 4. They play FOUR shows in NYC from Monday, November 23 through Thursday, November 26 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Note: The Nov 26th gig is actually a LATE Wednesday night show @ 1am. (Tix still available for late show as of Nov. 6)

Frontman Black Francis said: “We wanted to do something special for Doolittle’s 20th anniversary, and we thought his was a good opportunity to play all of the songs from that album, something we don’t normally do at a regular gig.”
The first and last Pixies show I saw was in NYC 2005, which was a GODSEND. They broke up 12 years prior and it was a bad one. Who knew if they’d ever get back together? THE END and never getting to see them in concert was heartbreaking, to say the least. So I’m pumped and frankly…grateful for the chance to feel, see and hear them live again…
