GOALIES

Tonight’s rematch at Nassau will be the third out of six total games the long time rivals will play this season (preview).  Remaining NY rivals games are: 12/17 Nassau, 12/26 MSG, 3/24 MSG, 3/30 Nassau

RANGERS (14-16-3) at ISLANDERS (13-14-7) Tonight, 7pmET

Note
: Islanders right-wing and alternate co-captain Richard Park is one of only 2 Koreans to ever play in the NHL.

Legend encounter

Met and spoke with NHL hall of famer, Bryan Trottier, who played on 6 Stanley Cup championship teams (1980-83 with the Islanders, 1991-92 with the Penguins).  Trottier is currently the Director of Player Development for the Islanders assisting in the development of team prospects.  He relayed his thoughts on upcoming talent, which I’m not sure I can reveal, so what I will tell you is that we discovered we know someone in common.  He was very personable, warm, and approachable.  Pretty exciting to be talking with a hockey legend!  (See my pic with “Trotts” below).

Ranger legends Mark Messier and Adam Graves were also accessible doing meet and greets.  So all in all a great night.  NY teams, great game, and hockey legends all around.  Awesome.
