HAITI - Food, water, shelter, sickness, and death continue to be urgent problems even with an estimated 16,000 grounded US forces delivering aid to the double earthquake stricken Haiti. The 7.0 quake that shook Port-au-Prince on January 12th killed approximately 200,000 people, injured 250,000 and left 1.5 million homeless. Just eight days later, a 5.8 aftershock (revised from 6.1) trembled Haiti about 36 miles west of the capital. More aftershocks could follow within the next 30 days. co-anchors WABC’s weeknight Eyewitness News at 6pm and 11pm. Before joining the nightly newscast in 2003, Cho was the NYC based anchor for ABC News’ “World News Now” and was a correspondent for “World News Tonight”, “Nightline”, and “Good Morning America”.
